U11A Aces win Sudbury Silver Stick
The Upper Ottawa Valley Aces won the U11A Sudbury Silver Stick Championship this past weekend with an impressive undefeated record. They faced some tough competition in round play, including vs the North Bay Trappers who are undefeated in their league play. In the round robin they played to a 0-0 tie.
Following the quarterfinals, the top 4 seeded teams advanced to the semi-finals, setting the table for a thrilling Championship Sunday. The Aces defeated the Georgian Bay Islanders in a 4-3 come from behind semi-final game. In the finals they faced a rematch against the North Bay Trappers. This time, the Aces came out victorious with a 4-2 win and Sudbury Silver Stick Championship, punching their ticket to the International Silver Stick tournament in Sarnia. Way to go ACES!
