2025-2026 Coach’s announcement
Dear Parents and Players,
Welcome to the 2025-2026 hockey season! My name is Ryan Shand and I will be the head coach of the U13 Aces this season. I am a non-parent coach, and I have years of experience coaching competitive hockey, most recently for the U12AA Aces. I am looking forward to the upcoming season!
I would like to formally invite all 2013 players to the U13AA Aces tryouts.
All tryouts will be held at the MY FM Center in Renfrew.
Tryout dates and times will be as follows:
May 3 /2025 3pm-4pm (All skate)
May 4/2025 1pm-2pm (Goalies only)
May 10/2025 2pm-330pm
May 11/2025 2pm-330pm
May 14/2025 7pm-830pm
May 15/2025 7pm-830pm
May 16/2025 630pm-8pm
All players will be evaluated on the following:
1) Attitude on and off the ice; body language and behaviour
2) Hockey IQ
3) Positioning
4) Communication
5) Work ethic
6) Hockey skills (skating, shooting, passing, game play, edge work)
7) Respect and sportsmanship
As a coach, I believe in a team game. This year we will be focusing on improving our individual and team skills, and on respecting and supporting one another both on and off the ice.
l look forward to seeing everyone at tryouts.
