Players and Parents
Welcome
to the U14 AA Hockey Team tryouts! I want to emphasize a few key qualities that
are essential for success on our team: compete level, effort, and being a
coachable player.
Compete
Level:
Hockey is a sport that demands intensity and a relentless drive to succeed.
During tryouts, I will be looking for players who demonstrate a high compete
level, those who never give up on a play, who battle hard in every situation,
and who show a true passion for the game. Your ability to compete will be a
crucial factor in our team's success.
Effort: Effort is the foundation of
improvement and achievement. I expect every player to give their best effort in
every drill, scrimmage, and game situation. This means working hard on and off
the ice, maintaining focus, and pushing yourself to be better every day. Effort
is not just about physical exertion; it's about mental toughness and the
willingness to go the extra mile.
Coachability: Being coachable is about
having a positive attitude, being open to feedback, and showing a willingness
to learn and grow. I value players who listen attentively, apply what they
learn, and strive to improve their skills and understanding of the game. A coachable
player is a team player, someone who contributes to a positive team environment
and supports their teammates.
As we
move forward with tryouts, remember that these qualities are just as important
as your technical skills. I am looking for players who embody the spirit of our
team and who are committed to working hard and supporting each other.

May 9th, 2025, 4:30-6:00 p.m. Renfrew BEI (Mandatory Hitting Clinic)
May 10th, 2025, 3:00pm-4:30pm Renfrew BEI- Parent meeting and check in for players
May 11th, 2025, 6:00pm-7:30pm Renfrew BEI Intrasquad Game
May 13th 7:30 p.m. -9:30 p.m.- Bell Sensplex-BL- Exhibition Game vs. Kanata
May 15th, 2025, 7:00pm-8:30pm Renfrew BEI-Exhibition Game vs.Nepean
