Coach's letter from Justin C. Allard.
My name is Justin C. Allard and I am honoured to be at the helm of the Upper Ottawa Valley Aces U15 Rep “B” hockey program/team this upcoming season. I am looking forward to this opportunity and being a promising part of the development of this group.
I am blessed with (25+) years of experience as a hockey coach, instructor and mentor to athletes at all levels and continue to play a generous role in the coaching, development and success of a number of (2009) through (2013) born athletes in the Ottawa Valley for the last (10+) years. I am approachable, caring, energetic, fun and passionate. I enjoyed a prominent and successful playing career which helped shape my life and teachings. My history and reputation is built on accountability, communication, discipline, leadership and good sportsmanship while staying humble and hungry for results.
Over the years, I have developed an effective framework that challenges and empowers athletes and coaches to realize full potential. Anticipate a competitive and exciting hockey program in a positive and supporting environment earning respect and trust from athletes, coaches and parents in order to foster ongoing player and team development. Expect the appointment and tasking of capable individuals to assist in coaching, developing and training this group with an experienced manager ensuring communication, organization and transparency.
I encourage all (2010) born athletes registered in HEO District 5 to attend my camp. I expect all attendees to compete and have fun - he/she ought to be conditioned, confident, disciplined, focused and motivated to earn a spot. Your previous designation/level of play is irrelevant.
Our camp schedule is as follows - arrive (30) minutes prior to each session:
1 - Friday, August 30th, 2024 from 7:00-8:30 PM

2 - Wednesday, September 4th, 2024 from 6:00-7:30 PM
(Nick Smith Centre in Arnprior)
3 - Friday, September 6th, 2024 from 7:30-9:00 PM
(Pembroke & Area Community Centre in Pembroke)
4 - Saturday, September 7th, 2024 from 6:00-7:30 PM
(Pembroke & Area Community Centre in Pembroke)
5 - Sunday, September 8th, 2024 from 10:30-12:00 PM
(Nick Smith Centre in Arnprior)
I am hopeful to include (1-2) exhibition games as well.
We will compete in the following (4) tournaments:
1 - Belleville Mid-Season Tilt on November 1st through 3rd, 2024
2 - Pembroke Regional Silver Stick on November 24th through 26th, 2024
3 - Clarence-Rockland Coco Lemay on December 6th through 8th, 2024
4 - Cornwall WinterFest on January 31st through February 2nd, 2025
Hockey is my escape from life and if it doesn't challenge you, it doesn't change you. My programs are challenging and competitive that require a great level of commitment and dedication from you and your child, combining monies, time, travel and volunteering. If attending camp, I ask that you encourage fun and stay positive while keeping it in perspective - this is a great youth hockey experience that he/she will never forget.
Regardless of outcome, this is a difficult process and I appreciate your support in advance. I will be direct and honest with you and your athlete at time of deliberations as I distinctively remember being on the other side of the table.
