Coaches Letter
This is a formal invitation for the 2024-2025 season for the Upper Ottawa Valley Aces U18. All players born 2007/8 are invited to try out.
Tryouts will be held on the following dates:
| Sept 20th 9:00-10:30pm-PACC |
| Sept 21st 6:00-7:30pm PACC (Inter-squad Game) |
| Sept 22nd 6:00-7:30 pm PACC |
| Sept 23rd 8:00-10:00pm Exhibition Game vs. Kanata Jack Charron Arena |
Coach Bio: Our family recently moved from just north of Toronto to the Valley with our 2 boys. I’ve been coaching for over 20 years in Canada and US with my last 3 years coaching listed below.

Key items that I will repeat: “Effort”, “Respect” & “Accountability”
The main thing our players can control is effort, we win and lose as a team and we respect all parts of the game.
Evaluations begin from the minute your player checks in, during the tryout players will be rated on a number of factors. To include but not limited to:
1. Work Ethic
2. Skill
3. Teamwork
Our evaluators will vary from non parent, coach & executives. All players must respect fellow players, officials, coaches and parents as mentioned you will be assessed from the moment they arrive at the rink until the final debrief from the coaching staff.
We will be attending 4 tournaments with 3 booked.
Peterborough - Kawartha Early Bird (October 25 – 27)
Pembroke Silver Stick (November 29 – December 1)
Winter Classic (January 3 - 5 2025)
