Coach’s
Letter
As a dedicated coach with a passion for player development, I bring experience at the AA / AAA level and a commitment to fostering a positive winning culture. My coaching philosophy centers around three core principles: skill development, discipline, and a team-oriented approach. Over the course of my coaching career, I have always brought a calm and respectful presence to the bench, my competitive side is displayed in the planning, organization and accountability that I bring to the Head Coach role.
I anticipate that the U15 tryout process will be a competitive experience. Players will be evaluated through a series of competitive drills and game play. The U15 roster will consist of 18 players as mandated by the Aces organization.
This year, HEO will be implementing the Hockey Canada U15 Player Pathways. While the full policy has yet to be released, league play will consist of a 28-game schedule and the playoffs will switch from an elimination series to a tournament style playoff.
The U15 team will be participating in the following tournaments:
· Belleville Preseason Tilt - September 27-29th
· Peterborough AA Tournament – October 25 – 27th
· Pembroke Regional Silver Stick - November 22-24th
· Winter Capital Classic – January 5-7th
I believe my responsibility as a Head Coach is to provide every player the same development opportunity, in return, I ask that each player respect that opportunity by being prepared to bring their best effort and a respectful, positive attitude to each U15 practice and game. Success is something a team earns when everyone puts in the work, so be prepared to work hard.
See you at the rink!
Jeff
